Legal Easton Baseball Bats
Youth Bats are different and you should check with your league before buying or using one.
Most leagues will accept a BESR Certified bat since it is the maximum allowed speed that a ball can come off of the bat.
However, some leagues require the BPF to be a certain number not to exceed 1.2. The BPF stands for Bat Performance Factor.
This is determined by a ball being thrown at a stationary bat at a high rate of speed. If the ball comes off 20% faster than the
ball was thrown it is said to be BPF 1.2.
Senior Bats must also be approved by the league. Due to the size of the barrel, some leagues require that these
bats can only be used at a certain age. Some select leagues allow these bats to be used during tournament play only, but this
is contingent upon what the tournament hosts are willing to allow. These bats come in 2 3/4" and 2 5/8" barrels and a variety
of drops.
Adult and High School Bats all have to be BESR certified and have a (-3) drop in order to be legal. Other specifications
include that the barrel is not to exceed 2 5/8" diameter.
For more information to check and see if your Easton bat is legal, go to the website of the league that you or your child plays in.
